Patient has been suffering from severe gum infection, or periodontal disease, that has destroyed the bone that supports her teeth. Many of her teeth have been lost because of the infection and the ones remaining are so badly infected that we had no choice but to remove them and rehabilate her with dental implants. Dental implants are a perfect treatment for those patients who have dentures, partials, and missing teeth. Her rehabilation was completed in one morning appointment and the remaining teeth she had were removed under IV sedation. The infected bone was clean, new bone was added to repair the damage, and dental implants were placed to restore her smile and function.
