Meet Dr. Gallardo
John Paul Gallardo, D.D.S., P.A. attended University of Miami. Immediately following, he was granted advanced early acceptance to New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with a D.D.S. degree in 1991. He was then one of four doctors accepted to the V.A Medical Center General Practice Residency Program where he was honored with the “Outstanding Resident of the Year” Award. He then went on to complete advanced graduate studies in Periodontics and Dental Implants where he earned a C.A.G.S. from Boston University. He has lectured nationally and internationally to dentists and hygienists and has been sponsored by companies such as Procter and Gamble to speak on clinical topics related to gum disease and dental implants. He has been interviewed by the Miami Herald as an expert contributor to oral health-related news updates. As a highly trained specialist in this field, he has successfully treated thousands of patients with gum problems and missing teeth. Dr. Gallardo is happily married and is the proud father of three children. Dr. Gallardo provides services at University of Florida to guide dental students in treatments and procedures. Drs. Gallardo and Lamas host an Elite Doctor Study Club four times a year on behalf of International Team for Implantology. The study club distributes knowledge and information regarding implant dentistry, its latest technology, treatments/procedures as well as discussion in clinical questions.
Meet Dr. Lamas
William P. Lamas, D.M.D., M.S. a native of South Florida, completed his college education at Barry University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He continued his studies at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where he earned the degree Doctor of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he received the American Academy of Periodontology Student Achievement Award; the highest honor given by the academy to a graduating dental student. Dr. Lamas went on to pursue specialization and advanced graduate studies in Periodontics and Dental Implants. He graduated and was certified as a specialist with a Master of Science degree from Baylor College of Dentistry-TAMUS. At Baylor he excelled as a post-doctorate resident and also contributed to teaching and mentoring pre-doctorate students.
Dr. Lamas returned home to Miami and accepted an academic position at the Miami VA Medical Center where he was in charge of the Periodontics and Implant Dentistry Program. Dr. Lamas continues to be active with organized dentistry and charitable organizations in an effort to promote gum disease awareness and oral health. He has held memberships in several organizations and was president of the South Florida District Dental Association. He continues to teach as an assistant clinical professor for the University of Florida College of Dentistry and lectures nationally on the latest advancements in Periodontics and Dental Implantology.
Presently, Dr. Lamas is fully engaged in delivering the very best and latest periodontal and dental implant treatments to his patients. Dr. Lamas enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children and all that South Florida living has to offer.
Meet Dr. Arroyo
Dr. Juan C. Arroyo, D.M.D. is an experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with over 15 years of experience in 3rd molar removals, canine exposures, and oral pathology. Dr. Arroyo possesses the highest qualifications and is extremely well-skilled in all phases of Maxillofacial Surgery.
After graduating dental school, he decided to move to New York for a year for advanced training in general dentistry. Upon completion, Dr. Arroyo moved to Puerto Rico to practice general dentistry for three years as well as participate in externships. During that time, Dr. Arroyo was invited to participate in an internship at Jackson Memorial with the University of Miami.
By specializing in patients that need oral surgery for wisdom teeth, implants, sinus lifts, bone grafts, and recontouring other complex procedures, Dr. Arroyo is able to restore confidence, aesthetics, and function to his patients. Outside of work, Dr. Arroyo spends his free time with his wife and daughter, golfing, swimming, and running.
